A Spatial Analysis of Konya's Mevlana Square and its Surroundings

Abstract
This study investigates the spatial organization of Konya’s Mevlâna Square and its immediate vicinity using the Space Syntax method. The research focuses on the historical axis connecting Alâeddin Hill and the Mevlâna Museum, a significant cultural and historical landmark. By analyzing the spatial patterns and connectivity within the area, this study aims to understand how the square functions as a public space and how its design influences human behavior. The findings of this research can contribute to future urban planning and conservation efforts in Konya.
